NEW DATE: Mindfulness at the MFA

Wed Apr 4, 2018, 6–9 pm EDT

After being derailed by the weather, we have a new date confirmed: Wednesday, April 4th!

Hello DMA,

The Working Moms Group is excited to host a new event we're calling Mindfulness at the MFA.

The event will be an evening of art, discussion and a cocktail or two.

We'll start by meeting at 6pm for a drink and light apps at the New American Cafe (inside the MFA).

At 7pm we'll go on a guided mini-tour of the museum, led by Akiko Yamagata, an MFA Educator, and our own Liz Harry. As we view selected works, Liz and Akiko will offer up prompts for discussion on topics that are top of mind for many of us. The balancing act that is modern life; our many 'selves' as mothers, wives, professionals, community members, activists, and all of the myriad roles we play. Finally, we will end with a guided meditation in the Asian Pavilion.

The suggested contribution is $35 per person, and we'll look for a minimum of 10 people to join in order to run the event. The contribution goes directly to the MFA to support their programming.

Please reach out to me or Liz with any questions.

Hope to see you there!
